Joan Williams is an innovative leader and compassionate minister experienced increasing resources and positioning non-profit organizations for greater levels of financial solvency and overall effectiveness. She has pioneered paradigm shifting approaches that have helped organizations, large and small, improve overall operations, expand the reach of their programs, strengthen partnerships and maximize their budgets.
Ms. Williams has earned a reputation as a visionary and strategic thinker, well versed in long term and short term strategic planning. As Executive Director for Beth-Hark Christian Counseling Center, she transformed operations, improving transparency and overall efficiency. In less than five years, she nearly doubled the budget, extended the organization’s community involvement and increased the number of volunteers by 600%.
Ms. Williams also serves as an Associate Minister at Bethel Gospel Assembly, where she serves as a community liaison advocating for needed change in the Harlem Community as well as, oversees the annual missions conference, the Northeast Regional Great Commission Conference.
In her prior role as Director of Community Residential Programs for St. Christopher-Ottilie Services for Children and Families, she managed a staff of 120 and grew the budget from $3.8M to $6.7M. Ms. Williams holds a Masters of Social Work, Administration, Masters of Science in Education, Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She is currently enrolled the Doctorate of Ministry program at Alliance Theological Seminary.
